Korean traditional
Korean traditional societies choose their residence based on geomancy. Korean people believe that some form of topographical or a place to have good and bad energy (in the concept of Eum and yang) which must be balanced. Geomancy influence the shape of the building, direction, and the materials used to build it.
Houses must be built according to their beliefs contrary to the mountain and facing south to receive as much sunlight. This method is still frequently encountered in modern life today.
Korean traditional house (usually home nobleman or rich people) divided into sections in (anchae), a section for men (sarangchae),study room ( sarangbang)and chamber maid ( haengrangbang). Large house influenced by the wealth of a family.
These houses have heated underground called ondol functioning during the winter.
